Cubic Interpretation of a Man

Happy New Year. I hope 2019 is going to be better that 2018. It was a hard year and I am am recovering. However you will be pleased to know I am painting again.

These are some of my recent paintings. Their style lies more in the realm of Synthetic Cubism, than Analytic Cubism.

They are formed by the juxtaposition of right angled planes, surmounted on top of each other. They colour scheme is not limited to the traditional monochrome of Braque and Picasso. The paintings use a wide range of colours. The background is divided, and introduces the tonality represented in the foreground figure and uses dark and light colour.
